John owns the Dirt Late Model that Scott is currently driving and also another car that he drives himself.  He handles the bills and puts in a good amount of elbow grease on keeping things running.

Scott is 43 years old and does just about everything that needs to be done.  He drives, maintains, and sets up the late model.  He's known among friends as a "tire geek."  He can do more with tires on a race car than most people can do with the whole chassis.  He's the brains behind Melanie's stock car success and he's really turned into a well respected and competitive driver going into his second year racing the dirt late model.

Melanie is 41 years old and tries to keep everything together.  She's also been racing for 22 years.  She drives the stock car whenever they get the chance and spends the rest of the time trying to ensure success for Scott. She packs the trailer, knows where the tools are and how to use them.

Travis is the team's crew chief.  He's 13 years old and probably knows more about chassis setup and tires than a lot of long-time racers.  He's rapidly replacing "Mom" on the heavier work and is the main consultant when chassis changes are being considered.

Carrissa is our 10 year old daughter.  She's in charge of keeping the car clean and the helmet ready.  She'll be "learning the ropes" this year.  Of course, she'll still be Mom and Dad's #1 cheerleader!
